Third Grade
Third Grade
Third grade is an exciting transition as students become more independent, thoughtful, and confident learners. At Sisters Elementary School, students begin putting together the skills and knowledge developed in earlier grades and applying them to more complex learning experiences. They take greater responsibility for their work, strengthen their ability to think critically and make connections, and become increasingly comfortable tackling assignments with greater independence.
Third grade is also an important year for personal growth. Students become more aware of how their choices affect others, deepen friendships, and continue developing communication, collaboration, and conflict-resolution skills. With growing independence comes the opportunity to take appropriate risks, learn from mistakes, persevere through challenges, and discover more about their individual strengths and interests. Our goal is for every third grader to feel capable, connected, and excited to continue growing as a learner and member of the Sisters Elementary community.
