Counselor-Guided Learning
Counselor-Guided Learning
At Sisters Elementary School, school counseling is an important part of helping every student feel safe, connected, confident, and ready to learn. Our counselor works with students, families, teachers, and staff to support academic success, positive relationships, emotional well-being, and the skills children need to navigate challenges as they grow.
Counselor-guided learning is designed for all students, with additional individual and small-group support available when needed.

Building Skills for School & Life
Through classroom lessons and counselor support, students develop important lifelong skills including self-awareness, communication, empathy, problem-solving, healthy relationships, coping strategies, goal setting, and responsible decision-making.
SES also uses Wayfinder, a research-based learning program that helps students develop six core skills: Self-Awareness, Adaptability, Empathy, Collaboration, Agency, and Purpose. Learning grows developmentally across the elementary years, helping students strengthen their sense of belonging, confidence, relationships, and ability to make positive choices.
