Fifth Grade
Fifth Grade
Fifth grade is a year of leadership, growing independence, and preparation for what comes next. As the oldest students at Sisters Elementary School, fifth graders draw upon the skills and strategies they have developed throughout their elementary years to tackle more challenging assignments, manage longer-term projects, strengthen organization and planning skills, and take greater ownership of their learning.
It is also an important year of personal and social growth. Friendships and peer relationships become increasingly important, students begin navigating new responsibilities and changes, and the transition to middle school starts to come into view. Our teachers help students develop confidence, resilience, communication skills, and independence while providing the encouragement and support they need during this important stage of development. By the end of fifth grade, our goal is for students to feel proud of how far they have come, excited about what lies ahead, and prepared to take their next step as Sisters Middle School Outlaws.
